BARBARA'S LINE DANCING

Linedancing is a cross      between the lambada craze  of the 1980's and  the mehanical -bull-riding craze of the 1970's.  Linedancing took off in this country by the success hit "Achy Breaky Heart" by Bill Ray Cyrus and the accompanying dance "Achy Breaky"at night spots across the country even in places not associated with country music.

Linedancing comprises of  pre-set routines of moves performed in lines.  Every one starts at the same time, dances the same steps in synchronisation with everyone else and finishes at the same time at the end of the music (that's the theory).
While, at first, the prospect of learning new dancing may be very daunting, you will find a new dance is relatively easy to pick up by remembering the sequence of moves rather than individual steps, but you must remember that no-one cares if you get it wrong.  It is enough to be out there, slapping leather and stomping and enjoying yourself.
